Grey Box On Desktop Windows 10

For some reason sometimes when i open to my desktop theres this weird grey box on my desktop. I see grey xs on filesshortcuts and folders both on my windows 10 pro 64bit latest version desktop.

I actually had this problem several times in windows 7 and windows 8 and windows 10.

Im using windows 7 logged in as an administrator account but not the main administrator account. It doesnt show up on my desktop until i use alttab to switch to it. Windows 10 gray xs on some desktop icons i see others have had an issue with gray xs appearing on the left corner of some folders on the desktop but none seem to be with windows 10 newly upgraded.

Sometimes it still surprises me though. I keep getting this weird grey box thats open in my programs list when i hit alttab but not an application on task manager. I dont know how to get rid of it.
