Copy File From Windows To Unix Box

In my mind they fall into three categories secure copy lets not even think about ftp shared drives and file synchronization. There are 2 ways which i normally use.

Hi all i have to copy files from windows to unix box in a job it could be a ab initio graph ftp from component or calling unix script using ssh andor ftp command.

Then after logged in to ubuntu create a new directory for example mediavboxshared and mount that drive using the command sudo mount t vboxsf sharename mediavboxsharedenter your password when it prompts for the password. I have a same requirement like yours i tried sftp option but i have not got permission to access windows from unix next my company not supporting samba drive.

Before booting up ubuntu inside virtualbox ubuntu vm settings specify a share folder. There are many ways to move files between unix and windows. I want to know the setup and installation required for this on windows.

If you want to read file in windows from unix box you have to mount the directories or use samba drive or you can use sftp if you have access to read windows location from unix box. If you have ssh access to the server i would recommend using scp to copy it from your windows box to your unix server using utilities such as pscpexe that is distributed with putty. Please can you share if you have any idea sample scriptsetup list for same.
